June News!

Summer is almost here! It's been three months since our last newsletter, so we thought to serve you all the latest news just before we plunge into the second half of 2025. There’s a lot of new stuff so let’s dig in 🙂
PostLab: DaVinci Resolve, DAWs, and more
PostLab received two major updates, both focused on adding support for more applications. Let's start with the big one: PostLab can now work with DaVinci Resolve libraries and projects. The Project Link feature will blow your mind, trust us. Check out the release video 🎥.
With Resolve on board PostLab now supports the three major NLEs, and we’re already working on adding that fourth one. Next up: good news for all the audio engineers, mixers, and sound designers. PostLab now works with both Avid Pro Tools and Ableton Live projects.
As an extra, we also threw in something special for photographers, importing Lightroom Classic Catalogs. Finally a shared Lightroom Catalog service that works!
That's not all: you are now able to duplicate Documents. That might not sounds like a biggie, but it actually is - it was by far the most requested feature. Useful to know for all the Pro users out there: document duplication fully respects Final Cut Pro Event and Resolve Project linking.
One more thing: PostLab now also plays nice with its sibling Arctic. Effortlessly send FCP libraries from Arctic to PostLab to start managing your projects properly, and be done with endless cleanups of your libraries.
Canister: Verify Duplicates, Migration, and Queuing
The last months, Team Tape has been quite busy. First up, Canister for Windows 25.2 gained the ability to Verify Duplicates — a massive timesaver when something goes sideways with an LTO drive. No more wiping tapes and starting over when your files hit the proverbial fan.
Meanwhile, we also rolled out a Beta Track preview of Tape-to-Tape Migration. This new feature makes it effortless to move data from one tape to another. Want to give it a spin? Check out how here.
And last, but absolutely not least, Canister for Mac 25.1 is scheduled for release late July, including the much-anticipated Queuing feature. Already want to give it a go? Grab the Beta here.
Mimiq - Managed Workspaces
For all you Avid aficionados, Mimiq 25.2 packs a number of useful features to make setting up Workspaces a breeze. Share your workspaces, set them to auto-mount, ignore volume, and more. Bonus: support for Avid Media Composer beta builds!

OffShoot - Cascading, Reports, and more
We’re continually improving Offshoot, and we’re excited to share what’s new — and what’s coming next.
- Cascading – now also on macOS
Cascading is now available for Mac users, too! This much-requested feature allows you to copy to fast Destinations first, then from there to slower Destinations, freeing up the Source sooner. Cascading is available to both regular and Pro licenses.
We've heard so much praise on Cascading Groups, a Pro feature, that we've decided to temporarily lower the upgrade pricing. Go to the License Manager to upgrade your license.
- Configurable File Counter
Fine-tune how files are numbered and tracked. With the new Configurable File Counter, you get more control over how Offshoot counts and names your files. - Batch Verify MHLs
OffShoot for Windows users can now verify entire disks or folders containing multiple MHLs. A powerful improvement when managing large amounts of data. - Symply Nebula
We keep certifying S3 providers, and Symply's no stranger to us. They make great LTO machines, so it's a no-brainer to have a look at their S3 cloud storage. - Coming Soon: Reports
We’re busy building Reports, OffShoot's next big feature, and this time we do it in public! Designed to give you a clean, source-based summary of your transfers, Reports is currently in its second Beta. We know you've been waiting for this for a long time, and we’d love your feedback to help shape the end result.
EditReady & FoolCat
Joined at the hip, both FoolCat and EditReady received support for Sony’s latest BURANO Version 2.0 firmware. On top of that, on Windows, FoolCat now officially supports ProRes RAW and gained automatic color conversion to REC.709. Next up in the Land of Codecs: full support for DNxHR OpAtom (yes, with scene and take!) and Nikon N-RAW.
Enjoy the summer!
