10 years of Hedge, at IBC 2026

It’s that week of the year again: Hedge HQ is getting geared up (and siked!) for IBC26, our hometown show. This time around we have something special to celebrate: our 10-year existence!
Our first app saw the light of day in March 2016 - read Paul’s blog on 7 years of Hedge for more on these first years, it’s a fun read.
Starting out with 2 meters in 2016, this year we come packed with a new 10-meter-wide booth, almost all team members, 8 apps, a new one at the brink of release, a collab with iodyne, and week 1 of a (drum roll….) 10-week raffle!

Raffle
Turning 10 is special and calls for celebrations. We have a lot of that planned for the coming year, and we kick off with a 10-week raffle. Each week we’ll be giving away cool stuff, made possible by companies we’re friends with and valued partners (which is pretty much the same, of course). Sometimes it’s cool hardware; other weeks it might be awesome software.
For week 1, we’re keeping it focused on ourselves (😎) and IBC visitors. Each day, we’ll be giving away 2 super exclusive Hedge DIT tape rolls at IBC. Drop by our booth 7.A32 and scan the QR code to join.
Not coming to IBC? No worries, we’ve got you covered later this year.
Canopy
At the start of the second Hedge decade, we are happy to announce the imminent release of Canopy, our solution for keeping track of all your clips, wherever they live.
Canopy gives you a searchable overview of your media, whether your storage is connected or not. Browse, search, and rediscover clips, even when drives are offline. Scrub through footage, search and filter on specific metadata, or just type spoon to get a list of all the spoons you ever filmed.
At IBC, we’ll be giving continuous Canopy demos. Be sure to drop by and take a sneak peek.
Teaming up with iodyne
For the second year in a row, we’re officially sharing our stage with iodyne. They provide the insanely fast hardware; we take care of the software side. Come take a look at how the Pro Data and Pro Mini work with our apps, and learn from them how to get more sleep 😴
There’s more…
Next to Canopy, we have a bunch of new features to show you at IBC. In short, here it is:
OffShoot’s new Canister Integration. Yes, that means automating the biggest chunk of archiving while offloading your cards for post-production.
Canister’s Verify Duplicates. When a job fails midair, you can easily start over and let Canister take care of possible duplicates, but verifying that initial batch was not possible until now. No more guessing if everything got to tape correctly.
PostLab’s biggest update in years, with the option to open Multiple Team Bundles at the same time, keep the number of file versions under control with pruning, freezing, autosaves and the option to set up shared storage locations for the entire team.
Turbine, the evolution of EditReady Server. No longer just for macOS, but also Windows and Linux (cloud, anyone?). At the same time, EditReady gains cDNG and support for the new Sony FX5.
See you in Amsterdam - we’re in hall 7, booth 7.A36.
